Laura McClain is the Marketing/Transaction Coordinator with “The Knick Team”.
Laura brings over 20 years of experience as a local entrepreneur, and has been recognized year after year throughout her community for providing exceptional customer service! Laura’s attention to detail, creative and unique marketing skills, guarantee each property is “black tie” packaged, and receives local, national, and global exposure. Over the years Laura has developed and perfected the art of positive communication, a proactive work ethic, and outstanding interpersonal skills that allow her to connect personally with each client. It is this personal connection that allows her to create a concierge-like customer experience while minimizing the stresses often associated with many real estate transactions.
Laura’s cutting-edge marketing strategies and innovative campaigns, increase demand, accelerate growth, and augment the budget for the maximum return on investment. As a member of our marketing team her responsibilities include continually researching and implementing new social media, online and virtual opportunities to support our client and agent goals.
As our Transaction Coordinator, Laura is our contract to close administrator. As soon as a contract is fully executed Laura goes to work to ensure all contract dates are met, and all buyer/seller responsibilities are scheduled and executed. Laura’s attention to detail and finance background helps us to meet or exceed our client’s goals, on time.
Prior to joining The Knick Team, Laura worked for a local Chamber of Commerce, organizing and hosting local events, and creating life-long relationships between residents and business owners. This experience has proven to be a valuable asset to our team, as she continues to advise The Knick Team on the wants and needs of the communities we serve.
Born and raised in Georgia, Laura, her 2 sons, Ty and Austin, along with her parents relocated to Michigan in 2008. Laura continues to care for her parents while her son Ty graduated from JCC Culinary, and is currently employed by Domino Farms, in Ann Arbor. Austin will graduate high school in 2021 where he will pursue his passion of underwater welding with a full scuba certification.
Laura credits her Georgia roots or that “southern charm” for her love of people, and the unique ability to connect with clients on such a personal level. After graduating from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance Laura followed her entrepreneurial heart and launched two successful businesses one of which continues to serve the community in which she lives.
When not creating marketing or sifting through contracts you might find Laura at the helm of her pontoon, enjoying a bit of Harley’s “wind therapy” or “ off-roading” for a bit of solace. As a family, they are fiercely competitive and enjoy a mean game of dice or cards.
Volunteerism is part of our culture on the Knick Team. Donate Life, Chad Tough, and Mothers against Drunk Drivers are just a few of Laura’s favorites. Laura has been touched personally by several of these through the loss of her daughter and husband, then personally conquering cancer. Laura’s most proud of her husband’s selfless gift of life to 3 deserving families. Strong family ties and deeply rooted faith make for a solid foundation.
